  1. Glad you dug it, Adele!! I was a powerful piece, a reminder how much all of us on this planet can do to assist and save one another.

  2. I like your term “interbeings!” And I think the whale’s display when it was released was, at the very least, exhilaration, and more probably, gratitude.

  3. This is an amazing story of courage, compassion, and a beautiful example of how we can make a difference that means everything to another being…sometimes even life or death…when we really want to…even if that being is a big and beautiful whale! This story made me anxious, fearful, filled with hope and then joy…but it also it reminded me how much more work we have to do to see that the appropriate changes are made in our fishing practices in order to assure that no living creature will ever have to suffer in such a way as this again!

And if you think, for even a moment, that these beautiful creatures do not think or feel or experience gratitude and affection and other emotions just as we do…then explain to me why this amazing creature of the sea, instead of just swimming away after being liberated from such pain, discomfort and fear…chose to perform in a joyful display for more than an hour as her rescuers on a small boat looked on in awe. Surely we live as “interbeings” with all creatures of the earth…and surely we owe them our responsible and loving care.

Thanks, Moments Count, for a great video insight and story!
